Training in DNA-based technologies

From April 17th to May 21th 2016, PhD student Žaklina Pavlović, (PHYTOBAC group). ) completed the training at The National Research Council (CNR), Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection (IPSP) in Bari, Italy. Supervision was given by Dr. Maria Saponari, which has experience on invasive plant pathogens of woody crops (olive and citrus). The program was realized through one-month long training and aim of training was to improve her knowledge on detection, identification, isolation and culture of Xylella fastidiosa, being as well involved in field work carried out in the outbreak area located in Salento territory.
