Training in DNA-based technologies

Dr Ivana Stanković, assistant professor (MICRODIAG group), has finished training in DNA-based technologies. The training was organized at Dipartimento di Scienze del Suolo della Pianta e degli Alimenti, Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro, Bari, Italy from 22nd March to 31st June 2014, under the supervision of Dr Donato Gallitelli and Dr Tiziana Mascia. The aim of the training was to acquire knowledge and skills of molecular characterization of Serbian isolates of Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). Adopted methods include: detection of specific RNAs using dot-blot hybridization method, cloning of genes encoded by CMV genome and RDP3 software for analyzing recombination events in natural population of CMV originating from Serbia.
